Friends of Billingham South (FOBS)

Friends of Billingham South is a group of parents, grandparents, governors, teachers and teaching assistants who meet regularly, usually once a month, to discuss school improvement, school events and fundraising.

Anyone who has an interest in the school can attend the meeting which are usually held in the staff room either at 9am after dropping children off or 2pm to coincide with the end of the school day. Times and days are constantly changed in the hope of accommodating parents and carers busy lives. Refreshments are provided and younger siblings are welcome.

Our current chairperson is Nichola Harbisher who has three daughters at school.

Our current treasurer is Joanne Tough who has one daughter at school.

Our current secretary is Margaret Fawcett whose children and grandchildren have all attended Billingham South!

We are always grateful for the effort people make to attend meetings! It has been amazing to see so many new parents getting involved since the start of the school year!

This has fed exciting and much needed new ideas into FOBS and we have some great events planned for the rest of this school year including a KS1 disco, coffee afternoons, non-uniform days, as well as updating our usual events such as the Christmas and Summer Fairs and sports day.

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday 23rd May 6pm in The Smiths Arms, Billingham Green Come along and get involved! We’re always welcome new suggestions, ideas you have seen work well in other schools, skills you have that school events could utilise!
