BIFF
To celebrate Billingham International Folklore Festival this year, our school were invited to take part in this year’s theme ‘Two Feathers in the Wind’ (Dos Plumas al Viento). We portrayed our two feathers journeying to each of the countries performing at BIFF this year. Each year group chose a country and researched a legend. The legend was represented through either poetry/stories and was complimented with visual artwork. The legends were included during the festival performances. Most of the children’s work was displayed in the Forum foyer, alongside artistic work from countries involved in BIFF this year. The remaining artwork was displayed at Uncle BIFF’s children’s club, at the Seven Entertainment hall (above Asda), where children and young people took part in craft activities and dance workshops.
