Crucial Crew

Crucial Crew is a multi-agency safety initiative aimed at children 10 -11 years old. It consists of a number of manned scenarios which the children visit in small groups. These scenarios all deal with a different aspect of safety and are based on the idea that children learn best by doing. The children are encouraged to seek help from the appropriate authorities and are told how to do this.

Crucial Crew is a fun and exciting event but the serious messages about personal safety and dealing with emergencies are very strongly conveyed.

The following agencies participate in or support Crucial Crew in Stockton on Tees.

Stockton Police, SBC Road Safety Team, Cleveland Fire Brigade, Northern Gas Networks, Northern Electric, and The Anti Social Behaviour Team.

Our current Y6 children attended Crucial Crew in September 14 and had a great experience.
